Youth Athletic Development Program

A long-term athletic development plan for teenagers who want to approach calisthenics and street workout in a structured, responsible way. Built around their stage of growth, physical maturation and psychological development. Run through Calisthenics Copenhagen.

Why a structured program matters at this age

This is not a recreational class. Adolescence is the window where movement quality, strength, and athletic habits get built, or where bad ones get locked in. A generic gym routine isn't built for a developing body, and it isn't built to develop an athlete. This program gives your child a plan with real structure behind it: assessed, periodized, coached, and adjusted as they grow.

01

Initial Assessment

Before starting, every athlete goes through a general evaluation. It shows their strengths and weak points, so training is adapted to their age, mobility, level and individual needs.

  • Mobility testing
  • Movement pattern analysis
  • Basic strength evaluation
  • Review of previous injuries
  • General athletic level assessment
02

Structured Annual Planning

Training follows a yearly plan: a macrocycle (the annual overview), mesocycles (specific training phases) and microcycles (weekly planning). Through the year, athletes move through phases of:

  • Foundational development: technique, control, mobility
  • Specific strength development
  • Conditioning and physical preparation
  • Consolidation and recovery

The objective is long-term development, not short-term results.

03

Specific Strength & Conditioning

All progressions are adapted to biological age and readiness. Training includes:

  • Relative strength development
  • Joint stability, especially shoulders, elbows and wrists
  • Mobility and flexibility
  • Neuromuscular control
  • General and sport-specific conditioning
04

Psychological & Mental Development

A key part of the program is psychological support and education. The aim is resilient, confident and disciplined young athletes.

  • Stress management
  • Breathing and focus techniques
  • Emotional regulation
  • Using emotions constructively in sport
  • Burnout prevention
05

Training Schedule & Commitment

Four training sessions per week, with continuous supervision and a long-term structured progression. The program is designed to complement school, not interfere with it. Exact days and times are confirmed with each family.

Investment

1,000 DKK / month

A straightforward monthly fee that covers both gym access and coaching — no separate memberships to manage.

300 kr Gym membership
700 kr Structured coaching & programming

For context, at Cali Klubben:

  • A 3-month skill course costs 3,375 DKK, for one goal and one session a week.
  • Personal training costs 900 DKK per session. Four sessions a week would be about 14,400 DKK a month.
  • The highest group membership costs 500 DKK a month, without individual planning or a long-term structure.

For 1,000 DKK a month, your child gets four structured sessions a week, an individual assessment, annual programming, the mental development component and ongoing supervision. The price is set to make a serious athletic pathway accessible while keeping professional standards.
